Mission

Our mission as compliance consultants is pretty simple, to set our clients up on the most sustainable and easy to navigate path forward to meet their statutory requirements and be good neighbors in their communities.

Expertise. Passion. Objectivity. – We chose these simple words as the bedrock for this new firm. To make sound planning choices, you have to first know what you are talking about, you have to care about the outcomes and potential impacts, and then you have to chart the best way ahead.

  1. Deliver the highest possible quality of work on schedule and on budget. To date I have project examples from 37 states.

  2. Thought Leadership. I will continue to look for the potential critical issues a few years ahead and pull together collaborations to help address those questions. We will do at least one large academic project per year with industry and community partners. I will continue to be available for speaking opportunities on these critical development issues. All the foundations out there working on EJ, climate, sustainable energy development, social impacts, cumulative impacts, and air quality, know that you have a friend is our company.

  3. Collaboration. It’s not just a buzzword to me, it’s how we deliver complex projects efficiently at the highest levels. I am always open to chatting about potential partnerships and have a shortlist of a few companies that I have been following for some time and highly respect. I have taken 20 years to build a network or attorneys, consultants, community, and academics that I’m really proud of.

  4. Risk and impacts minimization. Environmental justice is real. Climate change is real. Overburdened communities often experience higher rates of health disparities and lack of economic investment compared to non-OBCs. These areas also see more climate impacts and have less capacity to build sustainable solutions. Industries who proactively engage on these topics and know their impacts and risks can best position themselves for ongoing operations.

  5. My Perspectives on Sustainable Development Podcast will now be a product of Chris Whitehead Consulting, LLC. I’m tremendously proud of this project. To date we have been downloaded in 73 countries and have students as our largest demographic, at roughly 32%. Sponsorships will be considered going forward but only if they follow the goals and content of the program.
